DAOU Vineyards is a 100 acre premium vineyard estate located at 2,200 feet in the Adelaida Mountains of Paso Robles, California. Founded in 2007 by brothers Daniel and Georges Daou, the estate primarily focuses on Bordeaux varieties and also features Zinfandel and Rhone blends. DAOU Vineyards’ exquisite terroir with its calcareous, high percentage limestone soils, maritime influence and unique climate represent the perfect storm for creating classic wines that can rival the world's best. Discovered by the great winemaster Andre Tchelistcheff in the 1960's, DAOU's terroir was referred by him as "A jewel of ecological elements". In 2008, Georges and Daniel Daou continued Tchelistcheff's vision by planting 26 acres and focusing on Bordeaux varieties.
