2016 ESTATE OLIVE OIL
It was in their grandfather’s ancient olive groves in Lebanon that brothers Georges Daou and Daniel Daou developed an early love for agriculture and the rural way of life—setting the stage for them to fulfill a childhood dream here on DAOU Mountain. Our Estate Olive Oil is a tribute to this family heritage, and is crafted to the highest standards for a true expression of our DAOU Mountain terroir.
The 2016 DAOU Estate Olive Oil is an unrefined, cold pressed, decanted, and extra virgin olive oil with low acidity and a complex palate. Golden green in color, it’s intensity on the nose and palate carries a moderate profile. On the nose, you will find eucalyptus, green olive fruit, tomato leaf, and slight green tea. A creamy texture on the palate with a slight ripe avocado taste, this olive oil quickly develops further with complex minerality from our soil and a spicy finish of black pepper.
