2016 DAOU ESTATE CABERNET FRANC
94-96 points, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
This wine is ethereal from beginning to end. Inky and concentrated, this wine opens with flowery blueberry and blackberry notes, followed by suggestions of vanilla bean, ash and graphite.
"The 2016 Cabernet Franc Estate is just as fragrant as the Seventeen Forty Reserve, wafting from the glass with notes of orange rind, raspberries, dried flowers, cassis and cherry, still youthfully primary and fruit-driven despite having almost finished its élevage. On the palate, it's full-bodied, rich and layered, with lots of substance and ripe, fine-grained structuring tannins. This is going to be very impressive from bottle." - William Kelley, May 2018 Tasting, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
