2013 DAOU RESERVE AUX
16 months in 60% new French oak
This Rhône-style wine shows off its Paso Robles heritage with a gorgeous, opulent nose of rose petal, cherry cola, red delicious apple and vanilla. A wet stone minerality provides support and structure for these oral aromas. Full bodied, with firm but fine-grained tannins, this wine provides bountiful black plum, boysenberry and Bing cherry flavors, accompanied by nuances of espresso bean and toffee. The powerful mid-palate transitions seamlessly to a delicate finish of remarkable purity of fruit. This wine will age gracefully.
71% Syrah, 24% Grenache, and 5% Mourvedre
