Georges Daou – Coproprietor With a head for business and passion for fine wine, Georges Daou oversees the marketing and branding of DAOU Vineyards, keeping an eye on the winery’s direction and the family vineyards’ steady growth. Georges is proud to be an integral part of the Daou Vineyards vision together with his brother Daniel. A warm and philosophical man, Georges truly loves people and the beauty of nature. He understands the secret to Daou’s success: excellent terroir, great climate, and the positive effect that good human beings have on the growing of grapes. He is so pleased that patrons are impressed by the finesse of craftsmanship and award-winning taste that DAOU Vineyards wine brings to thetable. Georges hopes to see you soon on top of DAOU Mountain, an inspiring place where life seems to stand still and happy moments become etched in your memory forever. Daniel Daou-- Coproprietor To Daniel Daou Daniel relies primarily on his palate fine tuned by over 20 years of tasting and collecting wines to guide him at each step of making wine. In the vineyard, he looks to achieve perfect ripeness, walking a fine line in allowing the grapes to struggle but never cross that line where they shut down. Daniel is often described by his peers and the people who have fallen in love with his wines as a charismatic and passionate, yet humble, leader who will take Paso Robles to a whole new level. To Daniel, it's about putting his family name on the bottle and making sure it deserves that special privilege he so strongly cherishes.

Karen Hunt - President
Karen Hunt is a 20-year veteran in sales and marketing, who recently was VP/Sales for the Francis Ford Coppola Presents brands and Rubicon. Her experience also includes VP/Sales at Charles Krug winery and consumer sales and marketing experience at Ben & Jerry's and M&M Mars. Her interest in wine stems from 20 years ago when she was introduced to the fine wines produced by Karl Lawrence, Pride and Saddleback. Not being able to find them on the East Coast where she lived, she set a goal to become an integral player in the wine industry so that smaller, fine crafted wine producers would have representation of their brands nationwide. As President, Hunt has the task of opening distribution of the DAOU brand nationally and internationally. Representing not just the winery and the story of DAOU, Hunt will also serve as an ambassador of the Paso Robles AVA to bring deserved attention to California's Central Coast, home to some of the state's most unique terroir. "Karen brings a unique blend of talents and values to the DAOU Family Vineyards. Her experience, dedication to the industry as a whole and love for our wines makes her our #1 candidate to lead us into becoming a global brand for the demanding wine consumers. Daniel and I welcome her with open arms to our family," said Georges Daou. |
